The Indianapolis Zoo opened in April 1964. In 1988, the zoo moved from its original spot to its present location, a park five times larger than the original. The Zoo now has nearly 4,000 specimens of 320 species of animals, including 16 endangered species, four threatened species, and 13 Species Survival animal species. They recently started offering rides at the zoo with the addition of a small train, a carousel, and this coaster.
