Mike Boodly was Outlaw's designer. Just a few years after designing this ride, he left CCI and formed Great Coasters International (GCI) in 1996. You can really see Mike's influence in the similarities between Outlaw and several GCI coasters such as Roar, Lightning Racer, and Kentucky Rumbler.
Regrettably, CCI went out of business near the end of 2002. Denise Dinn-Larrick, who founded the company, went on to join S&S Sports to form a wooden coaster division for that company, while most of the other CCI designers rejoined and formed The Gravity Group, LLC.
