Son of Beast

Son of Beast was plagued with construction problems.  It opened to the public much later than planned, and even then it was closed more than open for the first few months.  In 2001, Paramount's Kings Island sued several companies including the company that built it and the providers of the wood.

On July 8, 2006, a structural failure caused an accident that injured 27 riders.  The ride remained closed for the rest of the season.  During the next winter, the ride was modified and new trains were added to the coaster in 2007.
