The Bat

The Bat is a suspended coaster since the train is free to swing side to side as it hangs under the track.  Worldwide, there are only 15 suspended coasters still running.  The most recent suspended coaster was built by Setpoint in 2010.

At the far right side of this wide panorama, you can catch a glimpse of Banshee, one of over 100 inverted coasters.  Inverted coaster trains are mounted under the track, but seats are attached to the wheel carriage and are not free to swing.  Eight inverted coasters are currently under construction and are expected to open in 2015.
