The Beast

The tall hill is the second lift.  The short hill crossing under it is the stretch of track between the first tunnel and the covered brake shed.  And yes, I was not the only roller coaster photographer there for this tour!

After a slight trim brake in the brake shed, the track goes underground again for a second, longer tunnel.  Since the track curves while underground, you can't see the literal light at the end of the tunnel until you are near the exit.  It is scary hurtling through the darkness.   Riding the ride after sunset is even scarier.  Between the tunnels and the trees, nearly the entire ride happens in complete darkness.
