Whizzer

In July 2002, the park announced that Whizzer would close permanently on August 11 so it could be removed to make room for a new ride.  However, on August 8, park officials declared that Whizzer would stay!  Park representatives said overwhelming feedback from fans prompted them to change their minds.

In October 2002, Six Flags started dismantling Shockwave.  It has been replaced by a B&M "Flying" coaster.
