Disaster Transport

Here is another view from the 1980s when the coaster was uncovered.  Did anyone else find it odd to have a bobsled on a beach?

Each car was free-wheeling and was allowed to take its own course while descending in the metal trough.  Changes to each car's passenger load would account for very slight differences in the path traveled by the car, but the cars generally traveled the same path.  You can see the paint was worn away where the cars repeatedly traveled.

Avalanche Run bobsled roller coaster. Currently called Disaster Transport.
